Strathcona is a very, very small team. We are committed to creating beautiful and well made objects and clothes. We are not fast fashion. We are very thoroughly slow fashion. If you are in a rush, we will absolutely try to accommodate you, but keep in mind that our strength is creativity and quality not pace. Standard shipping is only $8 in Canada and the USA
Standard shipping international is $18
Express shipping in Canada is $19

Where do you ship from?
Socks and silks ship from Roberts Creek, Canada. Active wear and swimsuits will be coming to you from our partner sewers — generally based in the USA & Mexico! Feel free to get in touch for details.
How long will shipping take?
Shipping times vary depending where you order from, but below is a rough guide to transit times, that is how long it will take once the order has shipped.***
(Please note these times are guidelines and are not applicable in December or made to order items! Made to order stuff needs to be made before shipping! But TBH they are very efficient.)
4-7 business days within Canada.
6-12 business days in the USA.
8-16 business days internationally
***When will my order ship?
We ship online orders from our studio about once a week — sometimes more and sometimes less. Please keep this in mind when calculating how long it will take to get your order. If we’ve just shipped, your order will not ship until the following shipping date! But also reach out if you need it quicker. We can often accommodate. Also note that our clothing is made to order, this will add a bit of time to the order and delivery time!
I want them ASAP! Can you ship them faster?
Yes, sometimes we can! But actual express shipping can be expensive!
What's my tracking number?
We don't offer tracking on most standard orders because it would add a lot of cost to the shipping. But if you want a tracking number, make sure you choose express shipping or tracked packet. Or get in touch.
Will I pay duties?
It depends on where you are and what you’re getting. With the new duties we are a bit confused. When we ship socks in Canada — no duties! And the USA generally not — at the moment we are paying those duties before hand. But internationally it's possible that you’ll incur some duties? TBH it's not consistent, and sort of wild westy. Some of our athletic wear and swimsuits are made in Mexico and we’ve been told by a customer that she got charged an import tax, which was a bummer. But also often it doesn’t happen. I know this is a terrible answer. It’s sort of luck of the draw. If you are concerned about it and want to chat hit us up.
RETURNS
Do you accept returns for socks?
Yes, we want you to be totally satisfied with your order! If you are unhappy you can return your unused goods in their original packaging within 30 days of receiving your order. (We shall reiterate: goods must be new and unused with their packaging intact!)
Do you accept returns for clothing?
If there is something wrong with your item, absolutely of course!
For general oopsies I’ve changed my mind situations — it’s harder. We are a small team working on this very small project and every item is made to order! So once it’s been made for you — it’s been made for you! Generally we ask for customer to not return items. That said, we want you to be happy! And we are reasonable people and generally we can find a way to sort things out. Such as an exchange. Please feel free to get in touch with us before hand to discuss your order or concerns.
How about swimwear?
Like everywhere else, swimwear is final sale.
Do you accept returns for things bought on sale?
Items bought with discounts or on-sale are final sales.
What if something is wrong with my order?
We do our best to ensure that our product is of the highest quality. That said, occasionally we miss things during quality control. If there is a manufacturer's flaw, please let us know what it is via email with a photo and we will absolutely figure something out. See below for how to return your item.
How do I return something?
1. Send us an email letting us know what you are returning (and why).
2. Mail the unworn product, with its packaging, back to us at:

Oh no, it's December already how long will shipping take?
We'll always do our best to get you your parcels on time — but the holidays are bonkers. Order as early as possible to ensure delivery in time! Cutoff dates change every year. But this is a general idea from previous years:
USA regular post order by December 12th.
USA Express post try to order by the 15th to ensure delivery.
Canada regular post order by December 12th
Canada Express post order by December 18th (They give the very unhelpful guideline of 12-18th)
Within BC and Vancouver you probably have more time!
Europe Regular mail order by Dec 7th to ensure delivery
If it’s after the 7th just get something in Europe.
